ANNUAL COLUMBUS DAY TOURNAMENT –

We have all heard about last year’s tournaments hosted by SIYSL. We’ve seen the pictures and read about them on SI Live. All have been an amazing experience. We have another.SIYSL will be hosting a tournament the Saturday of Columbus Day weekend. We will be combining the 8U and 9U divisions and 10U will stand alone for both boys and girls team’s. Play will be 6v6, 2 20 minute halfs with 2 guaranteed game’s. Pool winners will play a championship game and runner ups a 3rd place game in both divisions. Team’s can be combined and player’s shared as long as they are registered in SIYSL. No guest players! Those who have moved up in divisions within SIYSL can participate if they are true 8,9 or 10 years old. Games will played at Owl Hollow on all four fields, split at the half line which will enable us to have 8 games being played at the same time.

Historically we have seen huge turnouts in these age groups. Please get the word out to your coaches and submit your team’s for registration.

Robert Modzelewski and Anthony Mauriello will be promoting the tournament thru league communication and sideline chatter once the season starts. Your first reaction might be my travel player’s are away that weekend. While travel Players are able to complete as long as they are registered with SIYSL, we have a great opportunity for our true recreational players to experience tournament play.
