COACH INFO
All volunteer Coaches in the Staten Island Soccer League are issued passes which identify that they are authorized to coach and have passed the required Risk Management background screening. To obtain a pass, coaches must create an account and complete all the required information at the link below and upload a 1″x 1″ passport style photo to your account profile. In addition, coaches must provide a signed copy of the league’s “Code of Conduct” to their club director, attesting they are aware of the league’s behavior policies and sanctions imposed for violations. Upon approval, a pass will be created and given to your director. For the safety of the children, coaches must display their pass during all SIYSL matches. GAME CHECK-IN PROCEDURES
The following procedures will be adhered to prior to all games in all divisions:
1) Scheduled Game Time
Check Game Schedules listed on the Schedules page for the official time and location of all matches. Updates are posted and changes are made regularly that may effect your teams. Please instruct all players and parents to confirm dates and times on game day.
Teams must arrive at least 15 minutes early, prepared to play. If each team has the minimum number of players the match will start at the scheduled time.
Referees have been instructed not to delay the start of the match waiting for additional players. If necessary, a 15 minute grace period will be granted to allow a team to obtain the minimum number of rostered players before the match is abandoned by the referee. Game time will be shortened to accommodate this delay.
2) Check In Procedures
All players must be properly and safely equipped as outlined in Law 4 of FIFA Laws of the game and in accordance with the SIYSL House Rules Coach must have a valid player roster issued and approved by SIYSL containing all players with name, age and uniform number.
No write-in or non-rostered players will be permitted to participate. Coaches and assistants must present a valid SIYSL Coaches pass and display their pass throughout the entire match. Only 3 authorized coaches are permitted on the field. Parents must remain on their designated side throughout the match.
Competitive Division Scores should be reported on the day of the match by going to the game listing on the schedules site. You must login with your login provided by your Director in order to enter the score.
